PROTOTYPING

Plastic injection moulding is one of the most common forms of manufacture and is regularly used for the production of prototypes.

Prototypes are created to prove that the design of a part or a product will work. At Amey Plastics, we can design and produce prototype injection moulding products that are made via the same manufacturing process, but use different tooling and processing of parts. The tooling process for prototypes uses a softer material; such as aluminium in order to reduce costs.

We also offer SLA 3D Printing services for creating prototypes; which is recommended for low-volume or one-off production. Our 3D Printing service provides rapid production of highly precise prototypes, suitable for industries on tight timelines or projects at the very early stages of product design and testing.

If your project requires a significant amount of testing, injection moulded or 3D prototypes can give you the assurances you need before taking the final product to market. At a reduced cost, you can create and test a prototype that is as close to the final product as possible, using the same materials and production methods, before going into full-scale production.
